(re)cappin up a week

just because it snowed 8 inches yesterday does NOT mean that the mountain is good today. woke at 6:00 to check the report and a trace fell over night, that's it! a trace. plus it's way too freakin windy to leave the house in town today, why would you want to be on a chairlift at 7000 ft. also sat was 6 inches of new and i scammed the lifts all mornin. so i decided to post some stuff from the last few days. just want to keep it current.

skatings fun, don't you know

just ask our friends george and tres, skating IS fun. second time ever for me on skates. sunday afternoon we were tourists and went to the Inn of the 7th Mountain for brunch and skating. after seeing the heated pools, outdoor sauna, ice rink and eating brunch we decided to book two condos for new years. it's only 10 minutes from our house but it feels like you're on vaca.

so do you all remember when robby made these shirts and we wore them...? That was awesome. right now i am feeling very fortunate for myself. i know this is a time we are reminded of those things we should be thankful for but you guys are awesome. i am really enjoying this blogging like it is a message board so i can peek into the everyday lives of persons i often speak to about other things and even those i don't ever speak to. big up to (3p0 for his comments), i hope this provides all of you with the same warm fuzzy feeling i get when i get comments and see what other people have been up to. i will try to be more dilligent about postings of random day to day funny encounters and such.

Check this out, it seems as though everyone I know except me has hiked, boot-packed, skinned or crawled their way up some newly covered summit and gotten powder turns on the way down. Life isn't fair and work sucks. At least the sun is back and the weather is getting a little warmer today, no skiing but maybe a "tacky" mtn bike ride this weekend. Owwww! Booter Crunk Bitches!

good food, good friends, good games

so after a morning of cleaning followed by an afternoon of hanging out in the shed waxing anything with a base on it dinner with friends was in order. we had chicken with peanut sauce and homemade kimchee (eric) with rice (melissa) & swiss chard. Cassie made her famous cookies and beer was provided by the rest. All attendees were Eric, Katie, Rich, Melissa, Paul, Staci and hosted by Cass & Mike. Game of the nite was Carcassonne provided by Graham (R.I.P) who was there for the evenings toast. Cheers Sir Hamopolis.

snow, that turns to rain later in the day makes for a great day of pre-mountain activities with friends and beer. the pictures are slightly out of order, but check out the bikes and other gear. mike's got it goin on. i guess working at a shop and getting bro deals IS cool.
